At Waipipi Bikid Board meeting (July 13th) there wore present:— Messrs J. A. Renal 1 (ch-iir nan), A. M. Barrihall, W. C. llotiori, E. Alexander, 0 Ridgley, and the c!e;k (Mr A. E. Mellsop). Mr Renall repi rted having interviewed Mr Shaldri ;k of the Northern S.B. Co. re bertha j e fees, and the latter had agreed to vait on the Board to-day, but that Mr Shaldrick hud been unable to get away. Mr Barrihall e.\] lained that he had, at the request < f the ratepayers, arranged with the 3o rd's workmen to continue work on the "tup - ' road. Action approved. A letter was received from Mr J. E. Makgill offering tij> accept £25 for all land taken in deviation through his property, which wis agreed to. The question of tlie Road Board merging with the county council was discussed, and it w is decided that the Board favors carry ug ou until Match 31st, 1913, by whiih time they hoped to complete all worp now iu hand. A letter was received from R. H. Makgill commenting on the state of the road leading toUiis properly. A letter was received from Mr Wily drawing the Board's attention to the possible ehaugtfc arising from the works in hand by the Waikat > River Board. It was resolved that the Prime Minister be requested to satisfy himself that no such damage would accrue before giving the River Board auy further assistance. It was proposed by Mr Barrihall, seconded by Mr Alexander, That the Board offer their congratulations to Mr C. Motiou on his appointment as chairman of the Franklin county council. Mr Motion thanked the Board for their good wishes, and expressed the hope that the council would work harmoniously for the good of the whole district The motion from last meeting re striking £d in the £ general rute, onesixth of a penny charitable aid, and Jd special to meet loans, was carried.
