Great progress has been made in this portion of the;district, and it is expected the milk pupply next season will exceed either Mauku or Patumahoe. Some up-to-date milking machines are being installed, and altogether things look very prosperous. For the telephone bureau, which is now assured, the fallowing subscribers are promised:—J. W. McLorin, G. A. Learning, Robert Moore, John Poole, J. C. Dillon, McLarin l'.ros., K. C. Bayley, J. W. Dillon, Roper Bros, J. Brady, T. B. Bailey, and H. Uubershaw, with tho prospect of sever?' more. Large areas of oats are to bo grown, and Mr Yates is sowing over 500 acres. Mr N. G. Lichfield is going in for 40 acres of tho now famous " YVov tern "VVolts " rye grass.
