AKA AKA PLAINS.

Mr James Barber, an old resident of the Elbow, Aka Aka, who is re. moving to Buckland, was tendered a surprise party at his house on Monday evening of last week, about a dozen residents taking part. A social evening was tpent iu song and story. On behalf of the company Mr Pu u nan presented Mrs Barber with a silver sugar scuttle, and silver-mounted cutglass jar, as a reminder of their friendship. Opportunity was also taken to present Mr H. West with a ease of pipes, in recognition of the god work he had done as a member of Pukekohe West Road Board.
