Notwithstanding (he advanced stage of the season,* the dairying returns throughout the district show no perceptible falling off. The tests are good, the majority ranging at 43. The progressive ijuchre Club held i L s sec.-nd social on Wednesday night. The prizes were tarn by Miss V. Donahoe and Mr J.'Devaney. The election of a school Committee resulted in the appo ntment of Messrs G. Stephenson, S. B. Chilton, W F. Oldham, .T. Pulmanj >S. S. Smith, and \\\ T. Baker.
