he annual meeting of the Puke' e West Boad Hoard was held on rsday; present, Messrs J. W. as (Chairman), A. Finlay, H. H st and T. W. Woods, [r J. W. Johns was re-elected irman. t was decided to apply for the owing Government grants: tkau-Pukekohe Goad £200; Aka i-Pukekohe Road through Shipd's £200; Tramway & Rifle Range id from Mauku Main Road to rich Farm Main Road £100; rich Farm Road, £IOO ; Pukekohe Buckland through Messrs Hamilton os. (£1 for £1) £IOO. Ilr Dudding sent in a complaint to I Board of the danger that high Iges on certain roads were to wotori. There was considerable division and it was decided to inform ■ Dudding that the Board -knew of legal power to enforce the request, the Chairman, Messrs Woods and pn were empowered to sell the ud's horses, drays and piant and same committee, with the addition Mr West, were authorised to go i Strongman and Fausett's account i power to act. ; was decided to inform Mr Mcum that it was too late to effect ire to Douglas' Road as requested, it would be attended to in the lg. le Chairman was appointed to Bsent the Board at the local Bodies feience at Auckland, r Finlay was authorised to sppud on Wright's Road aud £lO on Ty Road. Mr Finlay agreed to ibute £5 worth of work ot ■ry Road. le Chairman, Messrs Dunn and ds were appointed a committee to >r with the Borough Council re jtment of rates.
