PUKEKOHE TOWN BAND.
The annual dinner in connection with the Pukekobe Town Band was held in Mrs Hawke's dining rooms. There was a large attendance of Bandsmen and honorary members Mr B. Andrew occupied the chair. A splended dinner was provided, after which the evening was devoted to speech, song and story. After the usual loyal toasts the following were drunk with musical honours Our Guests" (proposed by Bandsman C. Wright and responded to by Mr A. E; Wilkinson and C. K. Laurie); " Kindred Sports " (by Mr Eggington, Pukekobe Cricket Club, and responded to by Mr Bockett, Pukekohe Bowling Club, and Mr Wm. Adams exVolunteer); "The Ladies" (by Mr Colson Bandsman Dilworth); " Visiting Bandsmen " (Mr Andrew— Bandsman R. Chantler, and Bandsman Barriball of the Waiuku Band): "The Pukekohe Town Band" (proposed Mr R. F. Webster, Chairman of the Pukekohe Town Board, and responded to by Bandsmen C Lattimer and H. Curd); "Our Host and Hostess " (proposed by the Chairman and responded to by Mr W. Hawke). During the evening the following Officers were elected for the ensuing year President, Mr W. Roulston (re-elected); Vice Presidents, Mr A. B. Barter (re-elected) and Mr C. K. Laurie; Auditor, Mr R. F. Webster (re-elected). A splendid programme consisting ui the following items was presented : Pianoforte solo, Bandsman McMahon ; song, Mr W. Jones; song, Mr Dilworth ; cornet solo, Mr McMahon; song, Mr V. Svenson; song, Mr Moore, Mong, Mr B. Andrew ; comic song, Mr J. Walsh.
