CLASSES FOR FAT PIGS.

AT MORRINSVILLE SHOW. At a meeting of the Morrinsville A. and P. Society committee the schedule committee recommended .that all the pig classes be deleted, as there had been poor competition at recent shows. • Mr. Wyatt said he understood about £60,000 worth of pigs was exported from the Morrinsville railway station, and he suggested that if classes for pedigree pigs were deleted classes for fat pigs should be included in their place. He moved that classes be included for a pen of two porkers suitable for export and a pen of two baconers not exceeding 140 pounds. Mr. Howie seconded this, saying pig raising was a national industry, and farmers were making money at it. He would like his annual donation to be devoted to the pig section. It was no more trouble for an exhibitor to bring pigs to the show than to bring a pen of sheep. 1
