Tirau.

Presentation. The members of the Tirau Presbyterian choir entertained Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Wine at a social prior to their departure from the district. The function was held at the Manse. During the evening Rev. W. T. Brabyn presented Mrs. Wine with a handsome handbag, and in doing so referred to Mrs. Wine’s faithful services in the choir. The recipient suitably returned thanks. Spring Service. The Tirau Presbyterian Church was filled last Sunday morning, when a “ spring ” thanksgiving service was ' held. The church was beautifully decorated with choice spring flowers. A strong choir led the service of .T’ praise. Mrs. I. Corcoran sang a solo and the Rev. W. T. Brabyn preached an appropriate sermon.
