Croquet.
PUTARURU CLUB. Annual Meetings The annual meeting of the Putaruru Croquet Club was held at the residence of Mrs. J. Francis on Thursday. Office bearers for the ensuing year were elected as follows:—President, Mrs. J. Francis; secretary, Mrs. H. Robinson; Mesdames McGowan, Yandle, Campbell, Spear and Allwood forming the committee. Two of the lady members presented the club with a bag of fertiliser for top-dressing the lawns. At the conclusion of the meeting Mrs. Francis, on behalf of the members of the club, presented Mrs. McGowan with a rose bowl in appreciation of the work she has done for the club in the past.
