Hinuera.
Factory Matters. During the past few days many tumours have been current in regard to differences amongst suppliers to the Hinuera Dairy Co. As some of these rumours were scarcely credible a representative of the Record approached Mr, J. E. West for an,'official statement on the position. At first Mr. West was very diffident about making a statement, remarking that every such company in the Dominion had their own little internal dissensions, and he did not think it wise that such should be ventilated in the press. However, when certain statements were laid before the chairman with regard to the sales of btttter, he emphatically denied them, aWS stated that the proof of the pudding was in the eating. The best answer to such rumours was the payouts of the company, which few factories equalled. Last year the total pay-out was equal to Is 61d, while this year the company was making an advance payment of Is Bd, the shies being slightly better than Lon- I don parity. j
When pressed for a statement in regard to actual differences, Mr. West stated that he thought these had been largely exaggerated by outsiders. The Hinuera company was no exception to any other body, and there had been seme difference of opinion. This, however, had been met by the directors resigning. As those who had retired and offered themselves for re-election Were returned, he felt they had the confidence of shareholders and that the trouble was settled. If there was still any matter not understood he would be only too pleased to meet those in doubt and settle any outstanding matter to the best of his ability.
