OBITUARY.
MR. R. HETHERINGTON, SENIOR.
! The death occurred on Sunday afternoon of Mr. R. Hetherington, senior, who had been farming at Waharoa for the past 14 years. Deceased was out for a motor drive, accompanied by Mrs. and Miss Heth- < erington, his partner, Mr. Johns, and his son, Mr. R. Hetherington, who was driving. When near Mr. Crowther’s farm Mr. Hetherington senior was seized with a heart attack and expired almost immediately.
The late Mr. Hetherington was in his 59th year. He was born in West Kilbride, Ayrshire, Scotland, and came to New Zealand by the Invererim in 1874, landing at Auckland. Deceased was married in Westport 24 years ago and came shortly afterwards to Waikato. After farming at Horotiu for three years and at Eureka for five years the family moved to Waharoa. Deceased, who was greatly respected in the district, was of a retiring disposition. He is survived by his widow, son and daughter, a brother, Mr. J. H. Hetherington, of Mount Eden, and two sisters, Mrs. J. McCaig, of Hamilton, and Mrs. J. Holmes. Frankton.
