MONTHLY MEETING. The September meeting of the Putaruru Women’s Division oi. the Farmers* Union was held on Saturday* when there were present : Mes<dames Baldwin, W. Baldwin, Lloyd, « McKeon, Brown, Snedden, Robinson, McKinnon, Campbell, Fitness, Scott, Burman, Ranger, Nicklin, Lealey, Hollingshead and Walsh. Mesdames Lloyd, Churches and Shine were nominated as members. The minutes of the combined meeting of the W.D.F.U. and the Plunket Society concerning the proposed rest room were rqad. The committees decided to work independently until next March, when another meeting will be held to again consider cooperation, as at the moment the question of obtaining a suitable site is somewhat uncertain. It was decided to try and engage the supper room for meetings for 10 months. A bring-and-buy luncheon and afternoon tea stall is to be held shortly. . Members were requested to bring books for the‘Book Club. Afternoon tea was dispensed and plants and seeds were exchanged.
