GIRL GUIDES.

COMMISSIONER’S VISIT. Commissioner Harris, of Rotorua, visited the Putaruru Girl Guide company on Saturday afternoon. Miss Jones, of Waotu, was enrolled as captain. Miss S. Fittness was enrolled as leader of the Robin patrol and Miss J. Snell as recruit of the Thrush patrol. The monthly competition for decorated corners was won by the Robin patrol, this patrol thereby winning the cup for the ensuing month. The Thrush patrol gained second place. The cup was presented ’by Commissioner Harris. Afternoon tea was provided by the Guides and a most enjoyable time was spent. After the company meeting the Commissioner addressed the Guide Committee.
