KITCHEN EVENING.

On Friday evening Mrs. K. McDermott gave a kitchen evening for Miss E. Ibbotson, who is to be married shortly. Numerous and useful gifts were brought. A competition was held on guessing what each parcel contained. Mrs. Murphy was the winner, Mr. A. Brown winning the consolation prize; A quotation competition was won by Mrs. A. Brown. Those present were : Mesdames Murphy, Thompson, Brown, Lochhead, Francis, Lindsey, Dukeson, Mullane, Misses Coupe, Prescott, Ibbotson, Rolfe (2), Messrs.
