, * Social Evening. S One evening last week Mrs. G. G. A Eainger, of Lichfield, gave an even- , jnp- to a number of her friends. A Mft very enjoyable time was spent with " music, songs and competitions. Mrs. Ashworth being the winner of the -orize for the competition, and Mr. A.
Rainger winning the gentlemen’s prize. Those present were Mesdames Ashworth, Dodd, Leslie, Sneddon, Churches, Baldwin, Alwood, Low, Messrs. Dodd, Leslie, Alwood, Sneddon, Churches, Baldwin and Rev. Ashworth. The evening finished at midnight with the singing of “Auld Lang Syne.” Dance. ! The young people of Lichfield had a very enjoyable little dance in the Lichfield Hall on Friday evening. A number were present from Putaruru and Tokoroa.
