SOUND POSITION. Good Rats Collection. The treasurer’s statement submitted at Tuesday’s meeting of the Putaruru Town Board was very favourably commented upon, the chairman remarking that it was not only a. tribute to the clerk’s good work and the board's policy but that it spoke well for the general wellbeing of the community. While many bodies had oeen working on overdraft the Town Board had a credit balance, and of £1839 4s 9d in rates no less than £IO4O 15s lid had been collected. Particulars are:— Loan and District I'unds. Loan money on fixed deposit, £3617 0s 6d. Current account, £146 4s 7d. District fund credit balance, £197 5s Bd. Accounts for payment, £350 12s 3d. Collections for month, £l5O Os Bd. Hall Finance. Booking for month, £33 Vs Bd. Cash collected, £3O 9s Bd. Rates. Total rates and fees levied, £1839 4s 9d. Accounted for to date, £IO4O 15a lid.
