SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY

PRESBYTERIAN FUNCTION. Successful Prize Winners. The Presbyterian Sunday School anniversary service was held on Sunday and the church hall was packed. An invitation had been extended to the Methodist Sunday School children and teachers, and the latter accepted, thus showing, the goodwill that exists between the two schools. Mrs. W. T. Brabyn conducted the service, taking as Her subject “ Tal r ents,” based on St. Matthew, chapter Jot verses 14 to £O. Special hymns were sung.

At the close of the service Rev. W. T Brabyn distributed the prize's gained by the children who had passed the Presbyterian General Assembly examinations held in June. A 1 the pupils who entered passed and Doris Hall and James Reid Gawith obtained the highest marks in their respective classes in the Waikato district. The following received two prizes each, one being for memory work and the other for scripture : Division A, Reid Gawith, Ronald Hall, Robert Benton ; division C, Doris Hall ; division G, Meg Gawitli.
