There was a full yarding of cattle at Dalgety and Company’s Morrinsviile sale on Friday. An average number of pigs came forward. Buyers were present from Hamilton, Cambridge and Te Arolia, besides a large local attendance. Competition was brisk for all classes of cattle, while pigs sold readily at increased rates. Prices were:— Light prime fat cows £9 5s to £lO 7s 6d. Fresh-conditioned cows £6 17s 6d to £7 ISs. Store cows £4 15s to £6 13s. Emptv two-year Jersey heifers £6 to £6 2s. Yearling small Jersey-cross heifers £4 15s to £6 7s. Yearling Shorthorn heifers £4 3s.‘ Yearling Friesian small and low conditioned £2 10s. Dairy Cows £lO 10s to £l4 10s.

There was a large attendance at the fortnightly stock sale conducted by the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company at Waihou on Friday. Keen bidding was experienced, especially in the beef section, where prices were slightly in advance of late rates. In this section there was a good yarding penned and competition was keen. Prices are as follow:

Beef.— Medium fat steers £l2 ss. Heavy fat cows £l3 10s to £ls ss. Medium fat cows £ll 7s Cd to £l3. Light fat cows £9 11s to £ll. Forward-conditioned cows £7 15s to £9.
