Arapuni.

Farewell Party,

A very enjoyable evening was given to the members of the Arapuni Soccer Football Club and its supporters by Mr. Andy Campbell, on the eve of his departure for Bollieston, Scotland.

| In proposing the toast of the host, | Mr. Karlson, the club’s president, [ said that he was sure that “ Our j Andy ” would carry with him the very good wishes of not only those present, but all the men in the power station' works ; loyal not only to his club, but willing and eager to serve, and serve well, those for whom he worked. In concluding, Mr. Karlson said that it gave him great pleasure to present Mr. Campbell with a silver wristlet watch as a small token of appreciation from the members of the club. In replying, Mr. Campbell thanked all those present for their very nice gift, and said it would be a constant reminder of the happy days spent in Arapuni. Speeches were given by Messrs. Angus, Boyd, W. Alexander, F. W. Browne and C. R. McDermott. Apologies for their unavoidable absence were received from Messrs. T. Wills and J. Young, of Cambridge, and J. Rainford and J. Irvine, of Arapuni. The evening concluded with the singing of “ Auld Lang Syne.”
