LIEN ENSEMBLES.
j Perhaps nowhere in the realm of costume fabrics has Fashion placed sueii an inspired hand as in the linen group, where she has devised most intriguing new weaves and patterns. Here is shown one of Lcr spring ensembles of linen m a smart tweed texture of bluish gray, used for th . shirt and coat. The yellow blouse and j applique trim are of superiinen—a resilient handkerchief quality that comes fully shrunk and in fast colours. We have always loved the linen suit for its trim tailored lines and grateful coolness—mourned its temporary ab sence from our midst. Last year through gay ensembles combining plain and patterned lines, we saw encouraging signs of a renewed vogue j for linen suits. j This season behold—they are with us in - most enchanting variety in sports types quite dressy models and smart tweed weave linens that, make most ideal business suits and ensembles fo r travelling or town wear. These cliic little suits are usually three piece models with blouses of contrasting linen that adds a pleasing I cM/ou* note to conventional tweed shades.
