OXFORD PLACE.
(To the Editor) Sit, —As a visitor to your town I would like to congratulate your business people upon the patience they, are showing in connection with road maintenance and improvements, particularly the proprietors of the two motor garages in Oxford place (save the title). I recently thought I would ill up at one of the bowsers, and Jid so, but by the time I had negotiated the culvert and the holes outside your own office, sir, I wished I had waited till I got to Tirau. It seems to me that this particular locality is one that should receive attention immediately, for it is so easy 'or travellers to go on a few miles tor necessities, whereas every penny spent at Putaruru bowsers is indirectly for the benefit of the town. As it is you have two efficient, gar-, ages with atrocious ingress and egress.—l am, etc., WELI.WTSHER.
