PUTARURU V. ARAPUNI. An evenly-contested game was witnessed at Arapuni last week-ena between the above teams and resulted in a win for Arapuni by 1 goal to 0. In the first half Arapuni secured the lead. Putaruru pressed several times in the second half but lacked the finishing touches in front of goal. Putaruru played a good strong game but could not succeed in evening the scores. After recent rain the ground was in a terrible state and prevented any clever play.
