OPERATIONS FOR SEASON. Nearly 40,000 Tons of Produce. During the 1928-29 season the New Zealand Co-operative Dairy Company manufactured 39,040 tons of dairy produce, made up as follows:

oy.uru This constitutes an increase over the previous season of 3702 tons, with a butterfat increase of 3,339,005 pounds. When it is considered that 10 years ago the total output was 11,652 tons the extent of the company’s expansion is strikingly illustrated. The unparalleled increase which has been recorded for the last season is due in the first place to the excellent support accorded by dairy farmers in the company’s territory, assisted by favourable climatic conditions and a wider use of fertilisers.
