“ The first person is the assured, the car owner; the second is the person in the car, your relatives or your friends; the third party is all outside .he ear.” In this manner Mr. R. E. Champtaloup, touring manager of the Auckland Automobile Association, defined third party insurance risk, at a motorists meeting. He added that, under the Government scheme of compulsory insurance, the third party only was covered, the assured not being indemnified against injury to passengers or to himself.
