N.Z. FARMERS’ UNION.

MORRINSVILLE BRANCH. There was an attendance of 16 members of the MorrinsviUe branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union at the monthly meeting on Saturday evening. Owing to the unavoidable absence of the president, Mr. G. Pirrit, Mr. S. Ferguson was elected to the chair.

Mrs. H. M. Wild, secretary of the MorrinsviUe Women’s Division of the union, wrote thanking the branch for the part it had taken -in the formation of the division and the assistance it had given. The branch decided to support the MorrinsviUe returned soldiers in their representations to the Minister of Bands on the questions of deferred rent and interest and the increase of interest on current account.
