Tirau.
On Friday afternoon, April 26, Mrs.'Poison addressed a gathering of nearly 20 ladies, who decided to form a Tirau branch of the Women’s Di--vision of the Farmers’ Union. Mr. Dennis, acting on behalf of the union, was chairman.
The officers elected were as follow ; President, Mrs. Watson ; secretary, Mrs. J. W. Amoere ; vice-presi-dents, Mesdames W. H. Allen and W. Fitzgerald ; treasurer, Mrs. Bishop.
At the close of a most interesting address it was decided to hold a general meeting at an early date v/iUi the object of forming a local branch of the Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union.
