Wedding Bells.

TRUELOVE—NICOL. A pretty wedding was solemnised at Claudelands, Hamilton, in St. Andrew’s Church, recently, when Thelma Doreen, eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. N. Nieol, of Te Kowhai, was married to Mr. Francis Joseph Truelove, of Coromandel, second son of Mr. and Mrs. Truelove,. of Matamata. The church was prettily decorated for the occasion by friends of the bride. The ceremony was conducted by Rev. Gilbert. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, wore a long-sleeved gown of cream silk georgette ; the skirt was a mass of picot-edged frills, each frill forming a point at the hemline, and caught to the bodice with small pink and blue rosebuds ; the waist was finished by a satin ribbon and a diamante buckle. She wore a silk tulle veil embroidered in ‘silver, forming a train which was held in place by a coronet of orange blossoms, and carried a shower bouquet of white and pale pink lilies and maidenhair fern. Miss Noreen Nicol, sister of the bride, and Miss Huia Stewart, cousin of the bride, were bridesmaids, the former wearing a frock of apricot georgette, with a tiered pleated skirt and a bertha collar, and the latter a frock of eau-de-nil crepe Ascot with scalloped frills ar.d a bertha collar. Both wore headbands of gold leaves and flowers and carried .bouquets of roses and dahlias in shades to tone. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. C. McCormick as best man and Mr. L. Jackson as groomsman. The reception was held at the Centreway Tearooms, the tables being decorated with pink lilies. The bride’s mother received her guests wearing a frock of floral crepe de chine and beige trimmings with a coat of navy silk Bengaline and a beige felt hat trimmed with pastel shades. The bridegroom’s mother wore a grey ensemble suit and a black hat. Mr. and Mrs. F. Truelove left by car for Coromandel, the bride wearing a fawn and blue suit and hat to tone.
