Croquet Dance. | On Tuesday night tlie Ilinuera Croquet Club held a very profitable and enjoyable dance in the hall. Every portion of the district was Well represented, there being visitors from Matamata, Piarere, Te Pci, Okoroire, Taihoa and Tirau. Delightful music was dispensed by an orchestra consisting cf Mrs. Maud (piano), Mr. W. Tiseh (violin), Mr. B. Wheeler (clarionet), Mr. F. Crabb (flute) and Mr. M. Bates (cornet). Miss B. Kernat played an extra. Mr. C. Hayes made a capable and energetic M.C. Among those present were : Mesdames A. Rowe, black velvet frock ; Wheeler, black crepe de chine ; Hayes, black georgette with gold tissue posey ; Hollis, rose satin beaute ; McCallum, black crepe de chine ; Misses M. Germann, blue taffeta ; Biddy Wade, black velvet ; B. Kernot, black georgette ; D. Yanko, geranium crepe de chine ; K. Tisch, sunset brocaded crepe de chine ; M. Oates, blush pink rayon ; Dagg? black georgette ; T. Swan, jade green crepe de chine ; S. McGuiness, pink georgette. Personal. Mr. G. Reisterer has gone to Auckland for a few days to attend his ! brother’s wedding. Messrs. R. Germann and H. Hawke have left for a vacation in Auckland. Mrs. Ivneebone has recovered from her recent illness and has motored through to Auckland. Mr. and Mrs. W. Hollis also motored to town during the week-end. Mr. P. Hawke is spending a vacation in Auckland. Mrs. E. Morton, of Palmerston North. Is the guest of her brother, Mr. H. Moore.
Mr. and Mrs. Neil Read, of Ngahinepouri, who have been touring the Bay of Plenty district, spent last week-end with Mr. and Mrs. F. Germann. Mrs. Foster senior has returned to Hinuera after a visit to Wellington.
