GREAT GERMAN AIRPORT.
The great Templtjh’o# airport, said by many to be fergest and best equipped in the 'world, is already proving too small fex the innumerable arrivals and departures of German air liners.
Here is an airport, formerly the Raser’s great drill ground, whch was expected to take care of all the traffic that many years would bring. Now it is too small. The gain in traffic has been so great that there is an increasing need for space. The company which owns the field the majority of the stock being held by the City of Berlin, has decided to acquire another parcel of land located to the north of the present land, and work on this addition is to be started at once. The concrete runway, upon which construction was started last year, will be continued over this new extension, thus making it possible for planes to start from Templehof in all directions. Additional hangars of extensive dimensions will be added to the field immediately in oi'der to take care of the increased traffic. As a final step tending toward the improvement of the airport, the main roads leading to the field are to be widened, and improved in every other respect.
