MORE NEEDED. Mattar to be Inquired Into. The question of adequate paddo< Icing accommodation at the Putaruru school was raised at the annual meeting of householders. Mr. Rigger opened the discussion I by saying that the grounds for this I purpose were not large enough. He ! would be prepared to help towards the renting of another paddock. . Mr. Barnett said it may be possible to do this. | Mr. Scott pointed out that he had seen sixteen horses in the paddock, and it was a big item to find paddoeking for them. | The difficulty of adding to the present horse paddock by acquiriflC land in the immediate vicinity thereof, owing to trees being in the way, was referred to by Mr. Ashworth. The headmaster: Sir. Hutton sa«J* that there were 25 horses coming to the school daily. A householder suggested that chuff should be procured, for he quite realised the difficulty in finding paddocking for so many horses, i Mr. Rigger said that he was sure that if it were any other body they would have trouble. Something shou'd be dene to find increased accommodation. A householder said that it was rumoured that the children in out1> ing districts were likely to be taken to the school by motor lorry, but the chairmen (Mr. Barnett) said that they had tried to have this done, but they had failed. Tirau had also failed in a similar request. Mr. Rigger said that ho had. thought of getting a longer bo-se that could carry 'three children. ' (Laughter). g* The matter v-s then allowed ttir drop. Mr. Barnett saying that the matter would be enquired into by the committee.
