WOMEN’S DIVISION. Annual Meeting. The Putaruru branch of the Women’s Division held its annual meeting on Saturday, 16th insc. Trie attendance was satisfactory, the following ladies being present: Mesdames Scott (acting-president)) Voyce, Morrison, Truss, McKinnon, Sealey, Armstrong, I-loliinshead, Ranger, Ailwood, Lathe, V osper, Robinson, Whale, Sneddon, hleal, Sanders, Spear, Nicklin, Brown and Karl. A full account cf the dance profit was not available, as some ticket money had still to come in, but a sum of approximately £lB should be cleared. Ui this amount it was decided to pay £2 10 to the community chest, £5 towards a sinking fund, and the remainder to be banked to the credit of the Kest_Room Fund. The financial statement for the year disclosed a very creditable result for the year’s work, taking into consideration the fact that it was the Putaruru branch’s first year and that membership at the commencement stood at nine. At the close cf the year the total membership is 45. The following executive lor the new year was elected: President, Mrs. *H. Baldwin ; vice - presidents, Mrs. D. Sneddon and Mrs. Scott; acting secretary, Mrs. P. F. Karl; hon. treasurer, Mrs. Spear; committee, Mesdair.es Allwood, Van Veen, Voyce, Sealey, Campbell and Bathe. The following new members were enrolled: Mesdames Henshaw, Sanders, Armstrong, I-loliinshead and Miss Henshaw. Arrangements in connection with the proposed Mothers’ Welfare Week, in which the Plunket Society is also participating, were set in train. The meeting concluded with afternoon tea.
