A plug of tobacco, on which a bite had left a perfect imprint of teeth, was the principal clue to 40 burglaries in Kansas City (U.S.A.) which were not solved until the sheriff, arresting a score of suspects, invited them into a game of cards in the prison and offered them a chew. Lien Hudson was the only acceptor, smd his teeth corresponded with the tell-tale marks. He later confessed to the crimes.
