Big Land Deal. A large land deal was put through last week, Mr. C. Smith’s property of 1900 acres on the Tirau-Cam-bridge road being disposed of to Mr. Brundell, of Taranaki. Mr. Smith has purchased a 100-acre property near Hamilton. Personal, Mr. and Mrs. A. Hamlin have returned from a holiday spent in Auckland. School Picnic. The annual scliool picnic, held on Mr. R. Pevreal’s paddock, on Wednesday, was a huge success, there being a large attendance. The day was spent with sports and games for the children and at intervals fruit and lollies were distributed among the children, while afternoon tea was also provided for the adults.
