POWER RETICULATION.

ENGINEER’S REPORT. Included in the report of the chief engineer to the Thames Valley Power Board on Tuesday was the following : Piakoiti Road L. T. Extension.— This line has been completed and all consumers supplied on February 8. Walton.—The late 3000 V. line from McLean’s corner to Walton has been changed over to 11,000 volt and livened up at the higher pressure on February 11. Work is proceeding towards Hemming’s road and Carter’s corner with the changeover. Te Poi-Hinuera Road. Fourteen chains of H.T. line was erected to a new transformer position along McNab’s road, and supply given on February 25. Taihoa Road- —The transformer has been shifted to a new position opposite Puckridge’s and should benefit the consumers’ supply thereabout. Te Poi-Walomo Road.—Poles have been laid out and material distributed for the erection of the 3 mile gap between the Te Poi and Rotorua road lines. The link will be very beneficial in the future. Peria Road.—A new transformer has been installed adjacent to Baker’s property to relieve the transformer at Timm’s corner. Considerable improvement should be the result in this neighbourhood. Section switches have been installed to facilitate switching arrangements at Te Poi corner, one to control the Waiomo line and one the Hinuera line.
