METHODIST CHURCH.
A “PICKLE” EVENING. With the idea of augmenting the funds, a “ pickle ” evening was conducted by the Methodist Church workers last Saturday. The affair, in every way, was a huge success, and a large assortment of pickles were acquired for sale at the church garden fete shortly to be held. The evening was passed in games, competitions and a pleasant programme of song and music. Mr. Marshall was M.C., and conducted things with great credit. Recitations were given by the Misses E. and W. Wheeler, Mr. G. Brown sang an attractive number, and Messrs. C. Oates and J. Gawith presented an enjoyable guitar duet. An excellent supper closed an enjoyable evening. s
