YOUTH BADLY INJURED.
RETURNING FROM SHOW. Horse Slips on Bitumen. Through his horse slipping on the bitumen at the crossing entering the Matamata township, a young farm hand, named J. B. Johnson, sustained a fractured skull on Tuesday. 1 Johnson, who was employed by Mr. Tuck, at Waharoa, was returning from the show at the time of the accident. He was taken to Braeside Hospital in an unconscious state, and is still only semi-conscious.
