PRESBYTERIAN PICNIC.
ENJOYABLE DAY. The first picnic under the auspices of the Putaruru Presbyterian Sunday school was held at Mr. Taylor’s farm? on the Tirau road on Saturday. There was a very good atendance of parents and children and a most enjoyable afternoon was spent. A good programme of events was provided, while games were also indulged in. For the younger end lolly scrambles were held and all babies and little children who did not win a prize were given a toy. Afternoon tea was provided and there was a plentiful supply of cool drinks. Before leaving hearty cheers were given for Mr. and Mrs. Taylor and the helpers for their assistance in providing a day’s outing under ideal conditions. The prize winhers were as follows: *
