PERSONAL.
Mr. and Mrs. J. G. Gasparich leave Putaruru on Thursday next for Stanley Bay. Rev. H. Ashworth left Putaruru yes. or day to attend the Methodist Church Conference at Auckland. Mr. A. E. List, from the Auckland relieving office,, is acting as relieving stationmaster at Putaruru during Mr. Davis’ absence. Mr. E. J. Darby, of Arapuni, is making- good progress towards a complete recovery from his recent illness, and expects to resume work at an early date. Mrs. J. C. Tomalin entered King George Hospital, Rotorua, last week to undergo an operation. Mrs. Tomalin is doing as well ,as can be expected but will be confined to hospital for some weeks. Mr. N. Grafas, who has owned the local store at Te Whetu for the past ,J ~ ycflrs, has sold to Mrs. •JaTtiiesori. of that settlement. Mr. Grafas has purchased a picture business at Te Puke and takes over eavlv next month.
