Stock Sales.
MATAMATA. Dalgety and Co., Ltd., conducted the weekly stock sale at Matamata on Wednesday. Entries were mostly confined to fat and store cows* and the sale was marked by the advance in prices for the latter. Late rates were maintained in the pig market. Prices were: — Fat cows, £8 to £9 10s; fat heifets, £7 15s to £9 12s 6d; boners and potters, £3 5s to £4 15s; hulls, £5 to £7 10s; 18-months Friesian heifers, to £5 2s 6d; bobby calves, 9s to 16s. Pigs.—Baconers, £2 14s to £3; porkers, £2 5s to £2 9s; stores, £1 2s to £1 7s; weaners, 12s to 16s 6d. HAMILTON. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Company’s concluding sale of -the' year in the Frankton yards on Tuesday there was a good entry of fat catle and sheep. Competition was i. vC n for light prime ox beef, all classes selling well up to late quotations. Fat sheep sold at the previous week’s quotations All classes of fat and store pigs i >ld well up to late rates. Prices were. ~ Beef.—Heavy fat steers,': 13 to £l4 19s, lighter fat steers £l2 -1 extra choice light prime steers/ average £l2 4s; heavy choice steers, average, £l4 14s; heavy fat cows, £9 ils to £lO 16s; lighter, £3 10s to £10; fresh conditioned, £6 Is to £7; store cows, £5 10s. Sheep.—Fat wethers, 30s to 31s 3d; forward store wethers, 27s 9d to 28s lOd; fat ewes, 23s Od; fat lambs, heavy 29s to 30s 9d, lighter 27s sd. Dairy Cattle.—Yearling Jerseys, £4 2s 6d to £4 7s 6d; yearling steers, £4 2s 6d; bulls, £5 10s; springing heif-
