MORRINSVILLE. There was a heavy yarding of beef cows but a small yarding of stores at Dalgetv and Company’s sale at Morrinsvilie on Thursday. Prices ruling were on a par with those at late; sales and competition was keen throughout. Prices were: — Beef.—Fat cows £8 to £9 5s ; light cows £6 5s to £7 * 15s ; forward cows £5 to £5 17s ; stores £2 15s to £3 12s ; 15-months Jersey-Cross heifers, r.w.b., £4 2s to £5 17s 6d; Jersey-cross heifer calves £2-7s- 6d to £3 4s. Dairy Cattle.—Cows, late calvers, £5 6s to £7 16s ; dairy cows £5 5s to £7 10s ; dairy heifers £9 5s to £l4 ; others £5 15s to £9. - Pigs.—Slips 17s to 21s:

A special line of store steers sold readily under good competition at satisfactory prices. A pen of seven choice yearling heifers, sold on behalf of Mr. C. S. Leggatt (Motumaoho), bought by Mr. A. E. Vowles (Piako), brought £8 11s. The yarding of sheep was a small one, but prices were up to late rates u Fat pigs were well represented, but few stores Cams forward. Rates continued easier. Over. 90 bobby calves were yarded, and good , prices were deceived. At the Farmers’ Auctioneering Co.’s sale in the Frankton yards on Tuesday, there was a good, entry of both beef and mutton. Fat cattle showed a slight advance over the previous week’s rates, while fat. sheep were easier. A full number of fat and store pigs was penned, fats selling at late rates, stores and weaners being , easier. Prices were:— Beef. —Medium fat steers, £ls to £ls 15s; extra good quality prime fat 2-year steers, or. account of Mr. H. S.
