Apologies for absence were received from Messrs. J. Campbell (Tokoroa) and W. McCarthy (Arapuni). Partridges. The parent society advised that six partridges had been allocated to the branch. Mr. Bryant offered to take delivery of the birds and rear them on condition the branch paid for the feed. On the motion of Messrs. S. C. Snell and T. Cotter this offer was accepted with thanks, and it was decided that information in regard to suitable food for the birds be obtained from Auckland. Angler’s Guide. On the motion of Messrs. Peters and Scholz the secretary was instructed to recommend to the Auckland Society that all necessary information in regard to angling be collected from sub-societies this season so that the angler’s guide would be available for next season. On the motion of Messrs. S. C. Snell and E. A. Scholz, it was decided to recommend the parent body to issue honorary fishing and shooting licenses to members of the police force who were members of local branches.
