ELECTION HUMOUR.
INCIDENTS AT POLL. “ I can’t get in to vote as I can’t leave a sick bedside. Please tell the returning officer to send a car out for me,” was an urgent telephone message which the receiver was requested to convey post haste to the gentleman referred to. Though the powers of the returning officer were rated highly by the sender the message of course proved abortive, hut it at le*st showed that one elector valued the vote.
