PUTARURU. “ King of Kings.” At a time when the pursuit of material things tends to absorb men’s energies to the exclusion of spiritual things this picture, by means of a popular medium, will make all who see it realise more visibly the life history of the Saviour of Mankind, who, unfortunately, in these times is for many but an historical name. Rev. Dr. Buxton, Auckland.
COUNTRY CIRCUIT. The two main features on Messrs. Randell and Company’s circuit are “ Regular Scout ” at Tokoroa and “ Very Confidential ” at Te Whetu. In the first-named picture Fred Thompson, who has risen very rapidly in public favour, takes the leading role, and in the second picture Madge Bellamy is the star artist.
ARAPUNI. Based in part on the life story of Sarah Bernhardt, “ The Divine Woman ” is a film which no one should miss. The divine Sarah was acclaimed by the world as the actress of the age. Back from the past—from the gaol where she had sent him—c'ame the man she had once loved. Again her love surged for him—but she loved fame too. See this wonderful picture for details.
