Dairy Control Board.
SUNNY PARK OPPOSED. Reduced Personnel Sought. Better Investment Advocated. There does not seem to be any great love for the Dairy Export Control Board among the suppliers and shareholders of the Sunny Park (Te Poi) Co-op Dairy Co., Ltd., judging by the discussion at the annual meeting , on Thursday, Mr. J. Bell presiding. “ The expenditure on the Control BoaiM seems to me to be out of all proportion to the benefits received,” said the chairman, Mr. J. Bell, “ even though the levy has been reduced by half.” Mr. G. A. Stop.ford said he did not think the board was worth the expense. He would sooner spend the money on subscribing to the Matamata Record. He moved that the company protest against the expenditure, and that the personnel of the board be reduced. Mr. A. M. A. Wright suggested that the company should ask for the Control Board Act to be amended, which would be necessary to reduce the personnel. The protest was approved, and the secretary instructed to write to Mr. F. F. Hockly, M.P., and the National Dairy Association on the matter. The motion was carried unanimously, and with enthusiasm.
