Hockey.

Putaruru 9, Kia Ora 0. The home team’s vistory over Cambridge last week was reflected in their play against the Kia Ora club, there being a confidence about their work which had not been in evidence In previous games. So well did the home team combine and so well were positions kept that after the first few minutes goals were rattled up in quick, succession. A marked feature of the game was the work of the reserves of the home team who were called upon to fill vacancies in the last few minutes. Goals for Putaruru were scored by Miss Wheeler (7), Miss O. Benton and Miss N. Benton .
