ARAPUNI PICTURE PALACE. In keeping with his determination to endeavour to do his utmost for the comfort of his patrons, the proprietor of the Arapuni Picture Palace has added a 13ft verandah to the front porch. On a wet night patrons can now step from their cars directly to the cover of the theatre. “ The Gay Defender,” to be shown oh Tuesday night, is a romantic story of a daredevil adventurer—the Robin Hood of the West. COUNTRY CIRCUIT. A fine list of pictures has been booked for Randell’s country circuit, embracing Tokoroa and Te Whetu. Among the special features which have been secured for early screening at the above halls are “ The Unknown Soldier,” “ The Music Master,” “ Bigger Than Barnums,” “ The Wizard,” “ The Only Way ” and “ Irene.” This list covers a wide field and has been secured to specially cater for all tastes of patrons. PUTARURU. The best-beloved song in the British Empire is “ Mother Machree,” and what is becoming the best-loved photo-drama in the world will' be shown in Putaruru next Saturday, July 14. No one desirous of seeing a good picture should miss this great i film, which portrays a most absorbing story. . *
