A Te Aroha motorist who is always on the road lays claim to a record—and it must be very nearly one, too. He has driven his car 24,746 miles to date and through each set of tyres he had never had a puncture until Friday last. .Furthermore, in the period of driving that distance he had never had a stoppage on the road or elsewhere until Friday, when he had his first puncture, and to add to his misery his spare tyre had been stolen. However, his claim must nearly be a record for any motorist.
