MATAMATA DISTRICT. Good Impression Created. The land market at Matamata continues to be comparatively active. A local agent reports the following sales:— Mr. -J. Davison’s farm of 91 acres, to Mr. N. Death, of the Hauiaki Plains, at £35 per acre. Mr. T. Thompson’s property at Waharoa (previously occupied by Mr. J. W. Finnerty), at a very satisfactory figure, to Mr* G. Whyte, of Tirau. 1 . * i** Mr. Win. Rickards’ farm at Taihoa to Mr. Smylie, of Matamata, Mr. Rickards having secured a farm at Drury. The agent slates that Matamata lend is now in excellent repute, especially among Taranaki men. who are astonished at the growth and the figures of production.
