| ASSOCIATION FORMED. By Mon insvillc Dairy Company I In spite of numerous debates by j the Farmers’ Union and protracted I consideration by i.trious commi-tecs, the opinion has been current the Morrinsville district that the proposed formation of a liural Credits’ Association in !■! ■ 11 h- died a natural death. That this was by means the case w: made clear by Mr. F. Seifert at Saturday’s meeting of the Morrinsville branch of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union when he announced that the directors of the Morrinsville Dairy Company had considered the matter, ;nd had agreed to take th initiative by forming an association. The preliminary steps had been taken, and the a: sociation would be under way this week. t “We waited a long time for an asj sociation to be formed through the I Farmers Union,” said Mr. ifcrt. I “ but as associations wore being j formed in other parts of the country we thought it would be a mistake to delay any longer. When the association is under way it will be open for any farmer to join.” A letter was also received from the Tatua Company stating that the directors were in favour of the formation of an association, Lu* .ar no action had been taken. Mr. S. Ferguson said on oohalf of the Norfolk Company that it had | been decided not to take any action in the meantime. • On the motion of the president, Mr. J. Allen, it was decided to congratulate the Morrinsville Company bn its enterprise and to thank the Tatua Company for its support.
