WEDDING BELLS.

PEARCE —FOLLETT. The marriage of Miss Ethel Muriel, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. H. E. Follett, of Putaruru, to Robert Frederick, youngest son of Mr. and the late Mrs. Pearce, of Timaru, was celebrated at the Putaruru Presbyterian Church on Wednesday, the 18th instant. Rev. W. T. Brabyri performed the ceremony.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was charmingly attired in a silk georgette dress with picot edged panels over silver tissue and long flowing veil embroidered with true lovers’ knots, and held in position by the customary orange blossoms. She carried a full shower bouquet of white and pale pink flowers.

Miss Melva Angus was bridesmaid and wore a rose-coloured crepe de chine dress with shoes and stockings to match, and pink net headgear caught with a rose of the same colour. She carried a bouquet of pink flowers. Mrs. Follett, mother of the bride, wore a smart nattier blue repp coat frock with hat to match. Mrs. Nelmes, aunt of the bride, wore a pink crepe de chine coat frock and hat to match. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. V. McKenzie as best man. Miss Wheeler presided at the organ, and as the bride entered the church the congregation sang The Voice That Breathed O’er Eden,” while the Wedding March was played as the bridal couple left after the 1 ceremony. After the service a reception was held in the tearooms, Princes street, 1 which had been pfettily decorated for the occasion, a floral bell being susi pended over the bridal couple. The i bridal Cake was of three tiers pretItily decorated and surmounted by a silver bell. The usual toasts were honoured, and Occasion was taken by Rev. Brabyn to present the bride with a beautiful ivory-bound Bible, suitably 1 inscribed, from the Ladies’ Guild, the speaker remarking that it was also a memento of the first marriage to be celebrated in the Church. Later in the day the happy couple

left by car for Wellington and Southern districts on their honeymoon. TW' bride’s travelling dress was a Vieux de rose-coloured frock with hat to match. There were a large number of presents, including several handsome cheques. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a silver and blue' enamel bedroom clock, and to the bridesmaid a gold' armlet. The bride’s present to the bridegroom was a pair of xylonite hair brushes.

HOLAND—CAMPBELL. The marriage of Miss Edna Campbell, youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G. Campbell, of Rangiata road, Epsom, to Mr. Stan. Holland, of Matamata, was celebrated at St. George’s Church, Epsom, on the afternoon of April 9.

The bride, who was given away by her father, was gowned in white georgette embroidered with pearls in a tunic effect, with a skirt of tiny frills, and wore the orthodox veil and orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white cactus dahlias and pale pink carnations. She was attended by the Misses Lorraine, Patty and Bonr.ie Bryce, of Waharoa, as bridesmaids. The former was attired ' in mauve georgette with tulle headdress to match, and carried a bouquet of mauve sweet sultans and dahlias. Miss Patty Bryce wore shell pink georgette. Her bouquet was of pink dahlias and asparagus fern, while Miss Bonnie wore flame georgette and carried flame coloured zinnias and - autumn tinted flowers. Headdresses to tone were worn. The bridegroom was attended by Mr. Norman Ganley as best man. Following the ceremony the guests were entertained in St. George’s Hall, Epsom, Mrs. Campbell receiving the friends of the newly-wedded pair in a frock of - navy, repp cloth, relieved with touches of red, and word pale pink crinoline hat.

The wedding, took place at the residence of the bride’s parents, Peria (Matamata), on Easter Monday, of Ruby Mabel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. S. Signal, to Mr. Joseph Bourke, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Bourke, of Dunedin. The ceremony was performed by the Rev. Gardner Brown (Methodist minister).

The bride, who was given away by her father, wore a frock of ivory crepe de chine and radium lace. Her hand-erqbroidered veil was held in .place with a ccronet of orange blossom, and she carried a shower bouquet of white asters, cosmos and asparagus fern. She was attended by her sister, Miss Ethel Signal, who y ore a frock of salmon pink crepe de chine, with shoulder posy to match, and silver tinsel headdress. She carried a bouquet of autumn leaves and dahlias. Mr. S. Prisk, of Ngongotaha, attended the bridegroom as best man.
